The Reaud Honors College at Lamar University is honored to host the 2017 Great Plains Honors Council (GPHC) Conference March 31 - April 2.

Exploration Through Honors:

On the border of Louisiana buth thoroughly Texan, Beaumont is the birthplace of the Texas oil boom, home to the biodiversity of the Big Thicket, and just down the road from NASA's Johnson Space Center.  Our cuisine includes cajun, Tex-Mex, and barbecue, and our music embraces rock, blues, jazz, country, and zydeco.  We invite you to come and explore the unigue history, culture, cuisine, and natural environment of Southeast Texas.
