Students Graduating

How to Apply

Applicants must submit proposals that include their personal and professional goals and their intended summer projects. Applicants also must detail how opportunities offered by the Beck Fellowship will advance their goals and prepare them to contribute to society. A complete application packet including recommendation letters, statement of financial need, personal essay and description of the proposed summer experience must be submitted by October 1. A committee appointed by the provost will review applications, interview candidates and make recommendations to the provost. Final selection will be made by the Lamar University president. Beck Fellows will present final reports explaining how the fellowship changed their lives, what was gained and how the experience will directly impact their future careers. Application materials are available in the Office of the Senior Associate Provost (Plummer 104), Office of the Honors Program (Honors Building) and offices of each college dean. Completed application packets should be submitted to the Office of the Senior Associate Provost. For more information, call (409) 880-8400.
