David J. Beck Fellowships
Lamar University’s most prestigious student awards, the David J. Beck Fellowships reward academic achievement and allow top students to further challenge themselves with unique opportunities for undergraduate research and creative study. David J. Beck Fellows will receive full academic scholarships covering all tuition, books, fees and on-campus room and board. Additionally, each fellow will receive funding for a summer project, which may entail research, an internship or international study. Each fellow will choose a Lamar University faculty member as a project mentor. The fellowships are awarded for one year but may be renewed upon successful reapplication. David J. Beck Fellowships will be awarded to up to two fellows each year. The annual award will be approximately $25,000 per fellow, including the summer stipend. Up to $10,000 per fellow will be available for the summer projects that distinguish Beck Fellows.
