Advising is one of the most significant components of a student's successful college experience, and the foundation of a good advising experience is a strong relationship between the advisor and the student. Students are encouraged to see their Undergraduate Advising Center (UAC) advisor in person because this is the best way for you to cultivate a relationship. For this reason, telephone appointments are scheduled under specific circumstances. Distance advising requires the student to be at a laptop or desktop computer with Internet access.
Go to https://luconnect.lamar.edu/ to access your Lamar email and Self Service Banner. If you are unable to log in, please contact the Service Desk at 409-880-2222 BEFORE your advising session; otherwise, your appointment may need to be rescheduled.
Check your Lamar email on a regular basis. Your academic advisor may email you information to review or forms that you will need to complete as part of your appointment.
